Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract role supporting young learners and their families within an early childhood educational setting. This position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in services for children ages 3-5. This is a long-term substitute assignment covering 12 weeks, perfect for those looking to broaden their experience while working collaboratively with dedicated school staff and multidisciplinary teams.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders required. Current MN SLP license (must be presented with application). ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) strongly preferred. Previous experience providing services in school settings, particularly with early childhood special education populations (ages 3-5), is highly valued. Excellent communication and organizational abilities. Commitment to collaborative, family-centered practices.

Core Responsibilities:

Deliver direct, individualized and group speech-language therapy to ECSE students. Assess, identify, and document students' speech-language needs and develop appropriate intervention plans. Participate in IEP meetings and work with multidisciplinary teams to support student goals. Maintain clear and accurate service documentation in line with district standards. Consult with families and educators, offering strategies and supports to promote development and carryover. Fulfill all duties and responsibilities as a valued member of the early childhood team for three days each week (22.5 hours), Monday through Friday.
