Key Qualifications:
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) Valid Illinois SLP license (required upon start) Previous experience in school-based settings or working with elementary caseloads preferred Familiarity with IEP processes and a collaborative approach to working with educators, administrators, and families Ability to work independently while also participating as a supportive member of a multidisciplinary team Exceptional organization, documentation, and communication skills
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services to elementary students, addressing articulation, language, fluency, and pragmatics Conduct screenings, assessments, and comprehensive evaluations as required Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with staff and families Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with state and district requirements Participate in IEP meetings and related team conferences, offering expert recommendations Provide support to teachers and staff regarding student needs and classroom strategies Foster an engaging, supportive environment that motivates student participation and growth Benefits for
