This contract position, beginning as soon as possible and ending June 25, is ideal for a Speech-Language Pathologist passionate about supporting young learners. Youll collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to provide both assessment and therapeutic services, with a consistent weekly schedule of 35 hours.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders Valid SLP license for New York State, or eligibility to obtain ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates considered Previous experience in an elementary school setting is strongly preferred Strong communication and documentation skills Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary education team
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver speech-language therapy to elementary-aged students, individually and in groups Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, or communication needs Develop and implement IEP goals, track progress, and maintain accurate records Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to collaborative educational planning Communicate regularly with families and school staff to support student growth Use evidence-based approaches tailored to school-aged children
