Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing essential speech-language services to elementary students. This leave coverage role runs from September 8, 2026, through October 30, 2026, with the potential for extension through December. Enjoy a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, 7:30 am to 2:30 pm, totaling 32.5 hours per week. The position involves delivering approximately 40 half-hour sessions weekly, all within a supportive, school-based environment near Lake View, NY.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current state licensure or eligibility as a Speech-Language Pathologist Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong CFs considered Prior experience working in school-based or pediatric settings, ideally elementary age Excellent communication and organizational skills Strong collaborative skills for working with teachers, families, and support staff

Role Responsibilities:

Conduct speech and language therapy sessions per individualized student IEPs, following all district and state guidelines Assess, document, and track progress for approximately 40 sessions per week (30 minutes each) Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and other specialists to support student success Participate in IEP meetings and assist in developing or modifying plans as needed Maintain accurate records and provide timely reports on student performance and progress Foster a positive, encouraging atmosphere for elementary learners This is an excellent chance to utilize your SLP expertise in a highly supportive environment, making a direct impact on children's lives and educational journeys.
