9676359-14120 Job Description Make an impact in students' lives by taking on a rewarding contract assignment as a Speech-Language Pathologist in an active educational environment near North Tonawanda, NY. Two full-time opportunities are available to provide essential leave coverage in the school setting. Both roles are onsite and focus on delivering high-quality speech/language services to diverse student populations. The first position runs from the start of October through the end of January (12 weeks) and primarily serves a high school (with a small caseload at a non-public school nearby, 70/30 distribution). The second opportunity spans from late November to the end of January (also for 12 weeks) and is dedicated to a middle school environment. In both placements, your expertise supports students in reaching their communication goals throughout their educational journey.
Qualifications:
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required Valid New York State SLP License and Teaching Certificate School-based experience highly valued Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Willingness to be onsite throughout the assignment
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct 7-8 speech and language therapy sessions daily with assigned students Provide free lunch duty and utilize dedicated planning time to prepare individualized therapy plans Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders Maintain accurate records and collaborate with teachers, families, and other school staff Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing student progress monitoring Adapt therapy techniques to meet the diverse needs of school-aged children Thrive in a dynamic educational setting where your skills can make a profound difference.
