Active Texas SLPA license (must be in hand at the time of application) Previous experience working as an SLPA in a school setting is required Demonstrated reliability and commitment to travel between both designated campuses On-site presence required; remote options are not available Dependable transportation and confirmed commute feasibility to both school locations Comfortable completing HISD fingerprinting within the first three days of contract signing

Responsibilities:

Provide direct speech-language services to students under supervision of a certified SLP Implement individualized education program (IEP) goals in classroom settings Document student progress and maintain detailed records in compliance with school policies Collaborate with educational staff and families to promote optimal communication outcomes for students Travel daily between Furr High School and Edison Middle School, maintaining flexibility and punctuality
