Inspect instruments for damage or wear, ensuring all items meet quality standards before use. Manage inventory levels of sterile supplies, accurately tracking usage and replenishing stock to prevent shortages. Document sterilization processes meticulously, maintaining detailed records for compliance and quality assurance purposes. Collaborate with surgical teams to prepare instrument trays and ensure all equipment is properly organized and ready for procedures. Adhere strictly to safety guidelines related to handling biohazardous materials and maintaining a sterile environment. Participate in ongoing training to stay current with advances in sterile processing techniques and hospital policies. Requirements Proven experience in sterile processing or a related healthcare environment, with a focus on instrument sterilization. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to understand instrument requirements and procedural needs. Familiarity with inventory management systems to track supplies efficiently. Demonstrated understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols essential for patient safety. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow detailed instructions precisely. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team. Relevant certification in sterile processing is required.
