Qualifications:
Previous experience as an ORT, Surgical Technologist (certified or non-certified) required Strong understanding of aseptic techniques, surgical instruments, and operating room protocols Ability to anticipate the needs of surgeons and surgical teams Effective communication skills for collaboration with nurses, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals Ability to remain calm and efficient in fast-paced situations Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to patient safety Current certifications, if applicable to your role (CST, BLS, etc.), strongly preferred
Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures, ensuring all instruments and equipment are sterile and in place Assist surgeons and nurses during operations by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields Monitor and account for surgical instruments throughout each procedure Adhere to all hospital safety regulations and infection control standards Support the team with patient positioning, draping, and specimen collection as needed Participate in post-operative cleanup and preparation of rooms for subsequent procedures Maintain accurate documentation as required
