Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Surgical Scrub Technician, where your expertise will be vital in supporting surgical teams during a variety of operative procedures. In this energetic role, you will prepare sterile instruments and supplies, assist surgeons and nurses in the operating room, and ensure that all procedures adhere to the highest standards of infection control and patient safety. Responsibilities Prepare and maintain sterile surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment for various procedures. Assist surgeons by passing instruments, sutures, and other supplies efficiently during surgeries. Ensure strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols throughout all procedures. Monitor and record vital signs, patient responses, and relevant physiological data during surgeries. Support the surgical team by managing specimen collection, labeling, and documentation accurately. Assist with patient positioning, comfort measures, and ensuring safety standards are met before and during operations. Requirements Proven experience as a Surgical Scrub Technician or in a similar OR support role within hospital or ambulatory surgery center settings. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and infection control practices. Hands-on experience with aseptic technique, suturing, and handling surgical instruments. Ability to collect data accurately, analyze clinical information, and respond swiftly to emergent situations. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Excellent attention to detail, strong analysis skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure in acute care settings.
