Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a General / Vascular Sonographer, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional diagnostic imaging services to patients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your expertise in medical imaging, ultrasound technology, and patient care to support women's health, vascular assessments, and diagnostic radiology. You will operate advanced ultrasound equipment, perform a variety of specialized scans, and collaborate closely with physicians to ensure accurate diagnoses and optimal patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Clinical Imaging:
Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, small parts, GYN, venous, early/limited OB, and procedural guidance.
Provider Collaboration:
Work directly with physicians and mid-level providers to communicate technical findings and support timely patient care decisions.
Workflow Management:
Coordinate the daily imaging schedule by accommodating routine primary care appointments alongside urgent care add-ons.
Quality Assurance:
Maintain clinical protocols, ensure equipment compliance, and support standard operations as the patient community expands. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive ultrasound examinations including prenatal, gynecological, breast, abdominal, vascular, and echocardiography procedures with precision and attention to detail. Operate and maintain advanced sonography equipment, ensuring optimal image quality for accurate diagnosis. Assist physicians by acquiring high-quality images and providing detailed reports based on ultrasound findings. Maintain thorough documentation within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Apply proper aseptic techniques during procedures to uphold patient safety and infection control standards. Educate patients about procedures, address their questions or concerns, and provide compassionate care throughout the imaging process. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to interpret images, discuss findings, and support diagnostic radiology efforts across various specialties including women's health and vascular diagnostics.
Qualifications Experience:
2+ years of clinical ultrasound experience in general and vascular modalities.
Credentials:
Active ARDMS credentials or equivalent applicable certifications.
Attributes:
Organized, adaptable, and comfortable working in an independent scanning environment. Skills Strong clinical judgment, independent problem-solving skills, and clear professional communication. Extensive knowledge of maternal-fetal medicine, obstetrics/gynecology (Ob/Gyn), and women's health diagnostics. Proficiency in performing breast ultrasound examinations and gynecological ultrasounds with a focus on reproductive health. Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to sonography and diagnostic radiology. Skilled in operating medical imaging equipment such as ultrasound machines for vascular ultrasound imaging and echocardiography. Experience with vascular technology diagnostics including vascular ultrasound imaging techniques. Familiarity with Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) for managing imaging data efficiently. Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly to patients and collaborate effectively with healthcare teams.
