A Veterinarian provides medical care to animals. Diagnoses and treats illnesses and injuries. Specializes in treating either pets and small domesticated animals, or large animals and livestock, or wild animals. May work on farms, in zoos and wildlife sanctuaries, in animal shelters, or in hospitals or clinics that specialize in caring for animals. May inspect livestock used for food and check compliance with food safety regulations, or work in laboratories doing clinical research on animal and human diseases.

Description:
The North Central West Virginia Veterinary Emergency Clinic is seeking a full-time emergency veterinarian to join our growing hospital in Fairmont, West Virginia. We recently completed a total remodel and expansion of our facility, allowing us to better serve our patients and give you the tools to practice at your best. This is an exceptional opportunity for a compassionate and driven veterinarian to serve Fairmont and surrounding areas with high-quality emergency care.
What We Offer:
Base salary up to $200,000 per year commensurate on experience 10 shifts per month with flexibility of scheduled days (weekends and holidays are required) 3 weeks paid time off per year Path to partnership for right candidate Full coverage of professional licensing fees, AVMA/WVVMA dues and DEA registration 401(k) Retirement Plan CE allotment of $2500 per year
Your Impact:
Provide emergency and urgent care to pets and their families Serve as a trusted resource for veterinary care in Fairmont and the surrounding communities where access to emergency services is limited Form lasting relationships with clients and staff as you become a trusted member of our practice
What We Are Looking For:
DVM or equivalent from accredited veterinary school Eligible for licensure in West Virginia Emergency medicine experience preferred, but not requirement Ability to thrive in busy emergency hospital setting, and an excitement for a fast-paced work environment Strong communication skills and commitment to excellent client and patient care
