Hospitality and customer service are at the heart of what sets us apart. We have a strong community of regulars and are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys connecting with people, making great drinks, and contributing to a welcoming neighborhood coffee shop. We are currently seeking a team member with flexible weekday and weekend availability . The ideal candidate will have dependable, year-round availability that complements our current team and be willing and able to pick up additional shifts as opportunities arise. Weekend availability is required, as needed. You Might Be a Great Fit If... You're looking for consistent, year-round part-time work You have flexibility in your weekday schedule You're looking for work that fits any shift between 5:30AM and 6:30 PM. You have another flexible commitment or source of income and want a few shifts each week You appreciate having the option to pick up additional shifts when they become available Your schedule sometimes allows you to step in when additional coverage becomes necessary You're dependable, punctual, and take ownership of the shifts you commit to You enjoy working independently and take initiative without needing constant direction You genuinely enjoy hospitality and getting to know regulars You want to be part of a small, local business and close-knit team Some early mornings, weekends, and holiday availability will be required. Additional hours may occasionally be available through shift pickups and coverage. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, attentive service Take orders accurately and answer questions about our menu and ingredients Make thoughtful recommendations based on customer preferences Prepare hot and cold beverages according to shop recipes and standards Serve pastries and other prepared food items Receive and process cash and credit card payments Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar Clean and maintain brewing equipment and report maintenance needs Restock supplies throughout the shift Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations Communicate customer feedback and operational needs with the team Multitask and prioritize responsibilities during busy periods Stay productive and take initiative during slower periods Work confidently both independently and as part of a small team Skills & Qualifications Previous barista, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred Hands-on experience with espresso and brewing equipment is a plus Strong customer service and communication skills Dependable and punctual with a strong attendance record Comfortable working in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment Ability to learn and consistently follow shop recipes and procedures Ability to gauge customer preferences and make recommendations Basic math and cash-handling skills Knowledge of sanitation and food-safety practices Flexibility to work various shifts Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is warm, reliable, adaptable, and genuinely enjoys taking care of people. Bring your smile! Compensation Employees are paid minimum wage during training (no tips) . After successful completion of training, the position transitions to tipped minimum wage plus tips. Tips are pooled and distributed among all eligible staff based on hours worked each pay period. All team members participate at the same tip-pool rate, regardless of role or seniority. Actual hourly earnings vary based on tips and hours worked.
