LoRo Coffee has three locations in Beaverton, Vancouver, and the Montavilla neighborhood! Position Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled barista to join our team. As a Barista at LoRo, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and crafting exceptional coffee beverages and breakfast items for our customers. This position requires a strong passion for coffee, attention to detail, and a dedication to providing excellent customer service. Previous kitchen experience is strongly preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

This position is for 3-4 days a week at our Beaverton location. Weekend availability is expected, part-time hours to start, full-time hours possible with open availability and/or willingness to cross train at multiple locations. All shifts require working solo, with peak business hours handled alongside one coworker. You can expect your scheduled hours to consistently fall between 7am and 3pm Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm Saturday/Sundays, and occasional (paid, mandatory) training and annual team events (company funded, not mandatory) outside of business hours.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Dial in and taste espresso to ensure consistency and quality.

Prepare and assemble breakfast food items.

Consistently produce latte art to enhance the presentation of beverages.

Proficiency in operating Square and food delivery platforms for transactions and orders.

Prepare syrups, sauces, food items and other ingredients to maintain inventory and uphold quality standards.

Assist in the development of creative syrup flavors and specials to enhance the menu offerings.

Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing inquiries or concerns in a kind, compassionate way.

Share knowledge and enthusiasm for coffee with customers, including discussing origins, brewing methods, and flavor profiles.

Work harmoniously and collaborate with Ranch Pizza team members to maintain cleanliness and organization of shared space.

Use task checklists, par sheets, and recipe guides throughout shifts.

Follow any additional instructions from management, as requested.
Requirements:
Previous barista experience strongly preferred.

Previous cafe / food prep experience strongly preferred.

Passion for coffee and a desire to continually learn and improve skills.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Ability to multitask.

Ability to work independently and as a team.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends (mandatory).Must be reliable, punctual, and dedicated to providing memorable service to customers.

Current Washington Food Handlers card and MAST permit required.
