About Us El Matador Bar is located inside La Plaza Colorado, a high-energy indoor marketplace in Aurora featuring 20+ food vendors, live music, and a built-in weekend crowd. We are a fast-paced bar focused on quality, consistency, and strong team execution. We're growing quickly and looking for team members who take pride in their work, move with urgency, and contribute to a strong team environment. Position Overview We are hiring for both Bartenders and Barbacks. These roles work closely together to deliver efficient service in a high-volume setting. This is a part-time position with a strong focus on weekend shifts. Responsibilities Bartender Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with consistency and speed Provide strong, attentive customer service in both English and Spanish Accurately take orders and process payments using POS Maintain a clean, organized bar Check IDs and ensure responsible alcohol service Monitor guest behavior and maintain a safe environment Barback Restock beer, liquor, ice, cups, and bar supplies throughout shifts Handle daily prep (fresh juices, house mixes, garnishes, etc.) Maintain cleanliness and organization of all bar areas Support bartenders during peak service Assist with opening and closing duties Requirements Bilingual (English & Spanish) - required Ability to lift 25+ lbs regularly Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Strong work ethic and attention to detail POS and cash handling experience required TIPS certification (or ability to obtain) Team-oriented with a positive, professional attitude Weekend availability What We're Looking For People who move with urgency and take initiative Strong communicators who work well with a team Individuals who take pride in cleanliness and organization Familiarity with Mexican spirits is a plus

Pay:

$12.50 - $14.00 per hour
