Job Description

Navarre Hospitality Group (NHG) is the region's leader in hospitality with a commitment to excellence and strategic growth. An independent and locally owned restaurant and catering group with a 40-year track record of success. We are currently hiring an Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at Cascade Prime Steak & Seafood in South Bend, Indiana. Opening in 2024, Cascade has solidified itself as the leading destination for elevated dining in Northern Indiana. Showcasing prime beef, fresh seafood and shellfish with an emphasis on local ingredients presented with modern sophistication. We are looking for a Chef that will provide an exceptional dining experience that will create a memorable experience for our guests. Must have at least 3 years of experience as an Executive Chef, with steakhouse and/or fine dining experience.
Job Summary:
It is the primary responsibility of the Executive Chef to oversee all culinary operations, including menu development, food purchase specifications and recipes. All duties are to be performed in accordance with Navarre Hospitality Group standards, policies, practices and procedures.
Education:
Culinary degree or college or university; and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Experience:
  • Must have minimum 3 years Executive Chef/ Executive Sous Chef experience
  • Well-rounded food background
  • Proficient in computer applications and software for inventory and menu updates
  • Understanding of cost control including food, equipment, labor and waste
  • Must have a professional appearance and maintain high grooming and sanitation standards
