We are opening a new location in June and are looking for someone quality focused to build the prepared foods case, manage the kitchen, and grow the prepared food category in the market. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, from menu creation and food preparation to team management and food safety compliance. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of culinary expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to excellence in fine dining and catering environments. As Head Chef, you will inspire your team to craft innovative dishes, maintain high standards of quality, and ensure seamless kitchen management that delights our guests and elevates our brand. Duties Lead and supervise all kitchen staff, fostering a positive, motivated work environment focused on teamwork and excellence. Develop creative menus that reflect current culinary trends while maintaining consistency and quality. Oversee food preparation, ensuring all dishes meet high standards of presentation, taste, and safety. Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste through efficient food production practices. Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation standards across all kitchen operations. Coordinate with catering and banquet teams to deliver flawless service for large events and special occasions. Oversee shift management, including scheduling staff, assigning duties, and maintaining smooth daily operations. Implement training programs to enhance culinary skills, safety procedures, and customer service for the team. Monitor food costs and manage budgets effectively to optimize profitability without compromising quality. Maintain a vibrant work environment that encourages innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. Qualifications Extensive knowledge of dietary requirements and food production techniques within the hospitality industry. Demonstrated expertise in menu planning, food handling, inventory management, and kitchen operations. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members effectively. Familiarity with food safety standards such as HACCP or equivalent certifications. Excellent cooking skills with a comprehensive understanding of restaurant management principles. Experience managing large-scale events including banquets or special functions is highly desirable. Knowledge of inventory control systems and food service management tools. Passion for culinary innovation combined with a commitment to exceptional customer service.
