THE ROLE

As our Pet Care Concierge, you are the heartbeat of the store. You're the first voice a client hears when they call, the first face they see when they walk in, and the trusted advisor they leave feeling confident about. This is not a traditional retail role. It's a client relationship role that happens to be in a retail environment. You'll combine front-desk professionalism with genuine pet care knowledge to deliver an experience that's warm, polished, and personalized every single time.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Create a welcoming, memorable experience for every client — human and canine — from the moment they arrive Manage incoming calls with professionalism and warmth; accurately book and confirm grooming appointments with zero margin for error Build real relationships with pet parents — learning their pets' names, preferences, and needs over time Serve as a knowledgeable guide for product and nutrition recommendations, helping clients make confident, informed decisions Maintain a beautifully organized, fully stocked, and visually inviting store environment Handle point-of-sale transactions, cash handling, and daily operational tasks with accuracy and care Partner closely with the grooming team to ensure every client transition is seamless and every expectation is exceeded Take ownership of your work — proactively spotting what needs to be done without being asked

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required:

Prior experience in a client-facing role — boutique retail, spa reception, veterinary front desk, hospitality, or a comparable service environment Demonstrated phone and front-desk skills — professional, precise, and personable Exceptional attention to detail, especially when managing schedules and appointments Strong verbal communication — you know how to read a room and adapt your approach Comfort with point-of-sale systems and cash handling A genuine love of animals — this is non-negotiable You'll stand out if you: Have experience in pet nutrition, grooming, or veterinary settings Are naturally proactive — you solve problems before they become problems Take pride in leaving every interaction better than you found it Are calm, professional, and solutions-focused under pressure Hold yourself to a high standard without being asked
