We having be working with many school for over 20+ years. We are looking for a dependable and experienced Cook to join our kitchen team. This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced commercial kitchen, preparing food in large quantities, following production schedules, and maintaining high standards for food quality and cleanliness. A portion of our menu involves Indian food so anyone with some experience in Indian cuisine would be ideal but not necessary. Responsibilities Prepare and cook meals according to company recipes and production schedules Prepare food in large quantities for school lunch in a fast-paced setting Perform food preparation including chopping, cutting, seasoning, cooking, and portioning Ensure meals are prepared accurately and on time for delivery Follow food safety, sanitation, and temperature-control procedures Maintain a clean and organized workstation Help with cleaning kitchen equipment, cookware, work surfaces, and preparation areas Work closely with other kitchen employees to complete daily production Follow instructions from the kitchen manager and company management Qualifications Previous cooking or commercial kitchen experience preferred Catering, restaurant, school food service, or high-volume cooking experience is a plus Understanding of basic kitchen and food-safety practices Dependable and punctual Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Able to work well as part of a team What We Are Looking For We are especially looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking, organized, and consistent. A main responsibility for our cooks is being able to get our meals out of the kitchen on schedule for our delivery drivers to complete all deliveries of our lunch's at there respective times. Punctuality and the ability to complete food production on time are extremely important especially without dropping the quality of our lunches.
