Duties Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes, ensuring consistency and quality. Assist with menu planning and meal preparation for daily service or special catering events. Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment through regular cleaning routines. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal production and ensure timely service. Support food handling procedures, portion control, and recipe adherence to uphold high standards of food quality. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or restaurant kitchens is preferred; dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus. Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and food preparation methods. Knowledge of safety standards in food production and food safety management practices. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen team members. Familiarity with culinary techniques, menu planning, and catering operations is desirable. Demonstrated commitment to food handling safety, cleanliness, and quality assurance.
