Job Description
Citizens Care & Rehabilitation Center is a long-term care (nursing home) and sub-acute rehab facility located in Havre de Grace (Harford County). Citizens Care is seeking a PRN and Part Time Dietary Aide, working flexible hours (day and/or evening) with the ability to work weekends. Must be dependable and customer-service orientated working a variety of positions which may include dish room, food preparation, porter, and other kitchen related tasks. This position is responsible for performing all aspects of sanitary food preparation and timely delivery of meals.Essential Responsibilities/Duties:
Assist cooks to maintain food quality and prevent food waste. Prepares food items according to production sheets and menus. Labels, dates and stores usable food items for future use. Assists in the general preparation of carts and trays for serving. Assists in serving trays. Maintains food quality and safe food handling procedures throughout production and service. Ensures serving line is clean. Serves food and beverages in the cafeteria as needed. Ensures that food is served with appropriate garnishments and in proper portion control. Operates cash register. Responsible for general sanitation of the dietary department and cafeteria, as needed. Sweeps and mops floors as directed. Other duties as assigned.Education/Certification/Experience:
High School diploma or GED. One to three years of experience in a healthcare setting; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Food handling safety and sanitation training/certification is preferred.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Alert to hazardous and/or unsafe equipment and working conditions.
- Requires excellent verbal communications skills, and a professional, cooperative demeanor.
- Projects good judgment and performs all duties satisfactorily while prioritizing projects as assigned.
- Excellent attention to detail.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand, sit, stoop, push, pull, balance, reach, grasp, kneel, climb, crouch and lift up to 50 pounds.- Covid-19 Initial Vaccination and Annual Flu Vaccination are mandatory if hired.
Pay:
$15.68 - $16.10 per hour Expected hours: 4.0 - 25.0 per weekBenefits:
