Job Description

Forsgate Country Club is currently seeking enthusiastic, motivated, and experienced full-time Banquet Cook to join our culinary team. Experienced applicants will only be considered.
Responsibilities include:
Prepare large quantities of food according to standardized recipes. Retrieve all necessary food, beverage products, and small wares required for efficient meal preparation Cook entrees, sides, appetizers, and sometimes desserts in bulk. Ensure food is cooked and held at proper temperatures for service. Follow timing requirements to coordinate with event schedules. Maintain consistency in presentation, portioning, and taste. Adapt recipes and prep based on guest count or dietary needs. Assist with plating and presentation of food items for service, ensuring quality and consistency Coordinate with banquet chefs, sous chefs, and front-of-house staff to ensure food is ready on time. Work closely with banquet captains and/or banquet managers for smooth service flow. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of prep areas and kitchen stations. Practice proper food handling and storage, adhering to local health codes. Operate kitchen equipment and food production machinery safely and in accordance with manufacturer guidelines Label and store leftovers properly. Assist in setup of prep and cook stations before events. Help break down and clean equipment post-event. Track and report inventory usage and restock items as needed. Communicate effectively with chefs, dishwashers, and banquet staff.
Skills:
Previous experience as a prep cook, line cook, or banquet cook in a country club required. Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques, knife skills, and cooking methods. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and consistency. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift. Work as part of a fast-paced kitchen team. Capable of lifting and transporting items weighing up to 50 pounds as needed during setup, preparation, and cleanup.
Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour (based on experience) How to

Forsgate Country Club is home to two distinct golf courses: the historic Banks Course and the picturesque Palmer Course. The Banks Course, designed by renowned "Golden Age" architect Charles H. Banks, is celebrated for its traditional layout and classic design elements inspired by legendary Scottish courses. Known for its steep, dramatic greenside bunkers, the course is considered an architectural masterpiece. The Palmer Course, featuring holes crafted by Arnold Palmer and Hal Purdy, offers a scenic and challenging experience with water hazards on 10 holes.
