Job Description

Summary:
The Convention Services Setup Attendant is responsible for the timely and accurate setup, maintenance, and breakdown of meeting rooms, banquet spaces, and special event venues. This role ensures all event spaces are prepared according to guest requirements and Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), while maintaining cleanliness, organization, and exceptional presentation standards throughout the facility.
Responsibilities:
Communicate regularly with the supervisor throughout each shift to receive assignments, updates, and priority changes. Set up meeting rooms, banquet spaces, and event venues according to guest specifications and Banquet Event Orders (BEOs). Arrange tables, chairs, staging, audiovisual equipment, and other event materials as required. Supply meeting rooms with clean glassware, fresh water, and other requested amenities; replenish supplies as needed throughout events. Monitor event spaces to ensure they remain clean, organized, and guest-ready at all times. Break down meeting rooms and event setups promptly upon event completion and properly return equipment and materials to designated storage areas. Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of meeting rooms, ballrooms, storage areas, and service corridors according to established standards. Inspect equipment and furnishings for damage or maintenance concerns and report issues to the appropriate supervisor. Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and operational standards. Maintain reliable attendance and flexibility to work varying schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as business needs require. Assist team members with setup and breakdown activities to ensure efficient event execution and guest satisfaction. Perform other duties as assigned to support convention services and event operations. Uphold the company's drug-free, tobacco-free, and nicotine-free policies within the workplace. All other duties as assigned.
Experience/Qualifications:
Ability to lift to 50 lbs. consistently and 100 lbs. infrequently. Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time. Must be able to legally work in the USA. Education and Certification(s)/License(s): High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Discover Life at
