Do you have an outgoing personality, welcoming smile, and the energy to make people feel comfortable? Sylvan Learning is looking for a fun, energetic Event Ambassador to represent us at family
  • friendly events throughout Ames, Ankeny, and surrounding communities.
This is a great opportunity for a college student—especially a marketing, communications, education, or business major—who wants hands-on experience connecting with families and representing a well-known brand. What You'll Do  Represent Sylvan at community events, festivals, school activities, fairs, and other family-friendly events  Create a fun, welcoming presence at the Sylvan booth or event space  Proactively engage with parents, students, and community members—you can't be afraid to start a conversation!  Share general information about Sylvan Learning and the programs we offer  Encourage families to learn more about Sylvan and collect names and contact information from interested parents  Help with simple event setup, activities, giveaways, and cleanup  Represent Sylvan in a positive and professional way We're Looking for Someone Who...  Is outgoing, upbeat, friendly, and energetic  Has a warm, welcoming smile and enjoys meeting new people  Is comfortable approaching and talking with parents and students  Can work independently and take initiative rather than waiting for people to approach  Is dependable and professional  Has reliable transportation to events in Ames, Ankeny, and surrounding communities  Is available primarily evenings and weekends Schedule This is a very flexible, event-based position, so hours will vary from week to week. Some weeks there may be no scheduled hours, while busier weeks may offer up to approximately 12 hours. Most events take place during evenings and weekends. Pay $15
  • 17 per hour, based on experience, plus incentive opportunities for generating qualified family leads.
