General Manager Description:
The Member Event Programming Manager is responsible for creating, coordinating, and delivering engaging experiences that bring the Itasca Country Club community together. From signature Club traditions and family events to leagues, social gatherings, seasonal programming, and new experiences, this position owns the Member Event Calendar and is accountable for creating programming that members want to participate in and look forward to year after year. The Member Event Programming Manager will embody these values through thoughtful planning, creative programming, strong communication, collaboration across departments, and a relentless focus on creating memorable experiences for our members. This is a hands-on role for an organized, energetic, creative individual who thrives on variety and can bring the same enthusiasm and attention to detail to a formal gala, family campout, recreational league, or unique social experience.

  • Develop strong relationships with members and use their feedback and interests to continually improve Club programming.
Accountability:
  • LMA (Leadership + Management = Accountability)
  • Take ownership of the overall Member Event Programming function.
  • Lead staff, seasonal employees, vendors, and volunteers involved with member programming as applicable.
  • Establish clear expectations, timelines, and responsibilities for events.
  • Coordinate across Club departments to ensure successful execution.
  • Design & Deliver Member Programming
  • Develop creative member events, leagues, activities, and social experiences throughout the year.
  • Maintain a balanced mix of family, adult, social, competitive, seasonal, and traditional Club programming.
  • Continuously evaluate existing programs and introduce new ideas based on member interests and participation.
  • Oversee programs from initial concept through execution and post-event evaluation.
  • Own the Member Event Calendar & Experiences
  • Develop and maintain the annual Member Event Calendar.
  • Coordinate event timing with Golf, Recreation, Food & Beverage, Weddings & Events, and other Club operations.
  • Own the details of the member experience, including schedules, entertainment, vendors, activities, décor, registration needs, and event flow.
  • Ensure events are organized, intentional, and consistent with the Club's standards and culture.
  • Drive Member Participation & Engagement
  • Develop programming designed to increase member participation and connection to Club life.
  • Partner with the Membership Communications Specialist to effectively promote events and programming.
  • Build relationships with members to understand interests, gather feedback, and identify future programming opportunities.
  • Track registration, attendance, participation trends, and member feedback to evaluate programming success.
  • Budget & Financial Oversight
  • Develop and manage budgets for member events and programming.
  • Establish recommended event pricing in partnership with Club leadership.
  • Monitor event expenses, revenue, and participation throughout the year.
  • Evaluate the financial performance of programs while recognizing that member engagement and experience remain important measures of success.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Hospitality, Event Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience planning and executing events, programs, leagues, activities, or hospitality experiences.
  • Strong organizational and project-management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple events and priorities simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively across multiple departments.
  • Strong attention to detail while maintaining sight of the overall member experience.
  • Ability to develop and manage event budgets.
  • Experience in a private club, hospitality, recreation, event, or membership-based environment is a plus.
  • Flexible schedule based on the Club's event and programming calendar. In a typical week you might:
  • Finalize details for an upcoming family event.
  • Build registration for the next curling or bags league.
  • Meet with Food & Beverage to coordinate an upcoming member social.
  • Develop a new event idea for the fall calendar.
  • Review registration numbers and adjust plans based on participation.
  • Meet with the Membership Communications Specialist to coordinate event promotion.
  • Connect with members to gather feedback and programming ideas.
  • Review event expenses and upcoming programming budgets.
  • Coordinate entertainment, vendors, activities, or event logistics.
  • Be onsite delivering an event and making sure the member experience comes together.
Pay:
$55,000.00
  • $65,000.
