Full Job Description Position:
Program Manager - Party, Field Trips & Corporate Events Overview This role owns the field trip and corporate/special events business lines from start to finish booking, scheduling, execution, growth, and the guest experience around them. It overlaps meaningfully with the Assistant Manager role, particularly in staff management: onboarding, verifying staff time and scheduling, and coaching the team. Where responsibilities are shared with the Assistant Managers, they're noted below. I. General Role & Program Ownership Own the field trip and corporate/special events programs end to end — not just executing them, but improving how they're run and grown. Come to leadership with a resolve or solution in mind when raising an issue, not just the issue itself. Take ownership of outcomes whether or not you're the one directly driving the effort — cross-checking and verifying is part of the job, not optional. II. Staff Management (Shared with Assistant Manager Function) This section overlaps directly with the Assistant Manager job description's Staff Management responsibilities: Full verification role over staff time and scheduling — actively looking for efficiency opportunities, not just noting when something looks off.Coach rather than teach:
given the staffing demographic, expect to repeat things, and lean into patience and full context (the why and how) rather than assuming staff already know. Train and get the team up to speed early on what's required and incoming, rather than catching people up after the fact. Follow the same onboarding process used acrossFunBox Bowie:
initial communication of core commitments, a role review, an FAQ and assessment, a staff handbook summary via orientation presentation, a first shift during the week with shadowing, and a check-in after onboarding is complete. III. Core Business Lines Field Trip Program Own the booking flow, scheduling, and pricing for field trips. Build out and maintain the support network for field trips, closing gaps — especially the risk of non-payment. Maintain field trip confirmation documentation (email and/or paper) so hosts and staff have what they need. Keep the energy and experience consistent through every field trip visit, start to finish, so every group feels like the first and last time they'll be seen. Marketing Accountability — Field Trips Feature the field trip program weekly across all social media platforms, including outreach content aimed at schools and groups. Lead the outreach effort — including the work currently led by the virtual admins — rather than leaving it primarily to them, especially heading into each fall. Corporate Events & Special Events Coordinate booking, planning, and execution of corporate and special events to the same standard as field trips. Ensure staffing, setup, and guest experience for these events are verified and delivered as promised. Marketing Accountability — Corporate & Special Events Feature corporate and special events weekly across all social media platforms, including testimonials and highlights from past events. IV. Community Engagement & Partnerships Identify organizations to partner with and work with on giving back — schools, nonprofits, HOAs, and local community groups. Bring ideas forward consistently, not just when asked — three consistent things we could be doing to grow community engagement, documented and built out. Proactively advocate for and push initiatives (events, flyers, season passes) so they succeed and become a way guests talk about FunBox to others — building this into a systematic habit rather than leaving it ad hoc. V. Party Hosting Manage party hosting coordination — the day-to-day organization of the party host team and how their work gets assigned and run. Team building and accountability for party hosts, holding the team to a consistent standard. Parent engagement — building genuine connection with party parents throughout the booking and event experience. Party host training and onboarding, so every host is properly set up and coached from day one. Guest engagement more broadly — building habits and moments that make guests feel genuinely attended to. Building and developing party product ideas and their evolution over time — new concepts, packages, and experiences, not just running what already exists. VI. Reputation Building Contribute to guest and school-partner review generation for field trips and corporate events. Personally feature in reviews and guest-facing moments to set the example, the same standard expected of Assistant Managers. VII. Facility & Guest Experience Standards Ensure guest-facing readiness for field trip and event groups — space, materials, and staff prepared ahead of arrival. Be front-facing and visible during field trips and events, not managing from a distance.Pay:
