Catering and Member Events Director Job Summary:

The Catering and Member Events Director at Trump Westchester plays a vital leadership role in creating exceptional experiences for members and their guests. This position oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of all private events, club-sponsored social functions, and catering services. The Director ensures that every event—whether a wedding, golf tournament receptions, wine dinner, or holiday celebration—reflects the club's standards of excellence, member culture, and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, promote, and execute all member events, including themed dinners, holiday parties, family activities, and special club traditions. Manage all aspects of private event sales and catering services, including weddings, banquets, golf outings, and corporate events held at the club. Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef and Food & Beverage Manager to create seasonal menus, wine pairings, and event concepts. Serve as the primary point of contact for members and guests throughout the event process—from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up. Develop and manage budgets for all events, ensuring profitability while maintaining exceptional service and presentation. Maintain and update the annual club event calendar in alignment with member interests and club goals. Hire, train, and supervise event and banquet staff; coordinate staffing schedules for all functions. Oversee all event logistics, including room setup, décor, audio/visual needs, and vendor coordination. Gather and act on member feedback to enhance future events and increase member satisfaction and engagement. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and club policies related to food safety, alcohol service, and event execution.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Event Management, or related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum 5 years of experience in event planning or catering management, preferably within a private club or high-end hospitality environment. Strong understanding of country club culture, member service, and luxury event standards. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a proactive and polished presence. Proven ability to manage multiple events simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office; knowledge of club management systems is a plus. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the club's event calendar. Salary commensurate with experience.

Salary:

$80,000 - $85,000 plus commission
