As an Event Assistant, you'll represent our nonprofit partner's brand, interact directly with community members, and help create engaging event experiences that increase awareness of the organization's mission. Every Event Assistant helps bring our nonprofit partner's brand to life through face-to-face interactions, creative event support, and community engagement. Whether you're greeting attendees, sharing information about the organization's mission, or supporting event logistics, you'll play an important role in expanding brand awareness while developing valuable marketing and communication skills. Responsibilities of the Event Assistant Represent the nonprofit brand at community outreach events, promotional campaigns, and local fundraising initiatives throughout the Houston area. Welcome attendees, answer questions, and create engaging experiences that encourage community involvement. Assist with event setup, breakdown, and day-of logistics to ensure every event runs smoothly. Share information about the nonprofit's mission while helping strengthen overall brand awareness within the community. Support marketing initiatives by helping execute outreach campaigns and event promotions. Help maintain an organized, professional event environment while providing exceptional service to attendees. Learn how live marketing events build brand recognition and strengthen community partnerships. Work alongside experienced professionals to develop event coordination, marketing, and outreach skills. Qualifications of the Event Assistant High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in retail, hospitality, food service, customer service, barista roles, or event support is helpful but not required. Outgoing personality with a passion for meeting new people. Interest in marketing, event coordination, community outreach, or brand promotion. Comfortable working in fast-paced environments where every event is different. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks. Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow professionally as an Event Assistant.
