Job Description
- This is a part-time, seasonal position perfect for candidates looking for supplemental income and a fun, challenging and rewarding weekend job.
- Lead the successful execution of weddings and events, delivering a first-class guest experience that inspires five-star reviews and client referrals.
- Oversee event timelines, rehearsals, vendor coordination, and day-of logistics from setup through event completion.
- Anticipate challenges and make real-time decisions to ensure events remain on schedule and exceed client expectations.
- Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for couples, families, wedding parties, vendors, and guests. Client Experience
- Help bring each couple's vision to life through hands-on setup and styling of décor, floral placement, signage, personal items, furniture, and venue rentals.
- Maintain a calm, confident, and client-focused presence throughout every event.
- Ensure every interaction reflects Rustic Manor 1848's commitment to exceptional hospitality and professionalism. Leadership & Operations
- Lead, coach, and support event staff during each shift.
- Step into operational roles—including bartending or other event support responsibilities—as needed to ensure seamless execution.
- Maintain the cleanliness, safety, organization, and overall presentation of the venue, buildings, and surrounding grounds before, during, and after events. Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of event management
- Minimum 2 years of leadership or personnel management experience.
- Minimum 2 years bartending experience
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel regularly to Rustic Manor 1848 for events, tours, meetings, and operational needs.
- Availability for the majority of weekend events (approximately 70-80%) during peak wedding season (May through November).
- Flexibility to work extended hours during peak season, with the expectation of very limited hours in the offseason (December through April). Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or certificate in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Business, or a related field.
- Wedding planning, wedding coordination, or wedding venue management experience.
