Overview We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Part-Time Deli Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be the friendly face behind our deli counter, providing excellent food service while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Duties Prepare and assemble deli items with precision, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for sales transactions, cash handling, and processing customer orders efficiently. Assist customers with their food selections, answer questions about products, and upsell items to enhance their shopping experience. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area, including food handling practices and workspace sanitation in compliance with food safety regulations. Manage food service customer orders accurately using POS systems, ensuring timely fulfillment. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including slicers, warmers, and other deli tools. Support inventory management by restocking deli products as needed and tracking expiration dates to ensure freshness. Experience Previous experience in food service or quick-service restaurant environments is highly preferred. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous. Demonstrated skills in food preparation, handling cash transactions, and maintaining a clean work environment. Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods. Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices within the food industry. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell products confidently. Basic math skills for cash register operations and transaction processing.
