Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing friendly and attentive guest relations Manage restaurant reservation systems efficiently to accommodate guest requests and optimize seating flow Coordinate with the dining team to assign tables and ensure timely seating of guests Handle phone communication with professionalism, including taking reservations and answering inquiries using proper phone etiquette Maintain accurate records of reservations, waitlists, and guest preferences using restaurant table management systems such as Toast POS Assist with guest inquiries regarding menu items, wait times, and general restaurant information Support food safety standards by maintaining cleanliness in the host area and adhering to organizational procedures Experience Prior experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant setting is highly preferred Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in person and over the phone Familiarity with restaurant reservation management software and POS systems such as Toast POS is advantageous Demonstrated organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and guest flow efficiently Basic math skills for handling seating calculations and reservation adjustments Previous food service experience is a plus, providing insight into restaurant operations and guest expectations Knowledge of food safety practices ensures a safe environment for both staff and guests This role is perfect for energetic individuals who thrive on creating memorable dining experiences through excellent guest service.
