Princess Royale Oceanfront Resort is seeking a friendly, welcoming, and organized Host/Hostess to be the first point of contact for our dining guests. The Host/Hostess is responsible for creating a positive first impression, warmly welcoming guests, managing seating and wait times, and helping ensure an organized and enjoyable dining experience. The ideal candidate is personable, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm and welcoming during busy periods are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests promptly with a friendly, professional, and positive attitude.
- Create a warm and inviting first impression for every guest entering the restaurant.
- Manage the flow of guests entering the restaurant and coordinate seating with Servers and management.
- Maintain accurate knowledge of table availability, sections, and seating capacity.
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus as appropriate.
- Manage reservations, waitlists, and guest seating in an organized and efficient manner.
- Provide guests with accurate information regarding wait times, menu offerings, restaurant services, and resort amenities when appropriate.
- Communicate estimated wait times clearly and courteously.
- Monitor dining room activity and communicate with Servers and management to maintain an efficient flow of service.
- Answer incoming calls and assist guests with general questions and requests.
- Maintain an organized and professional host/hostess stand and entrance area.
- Assist with setting and resetting tables as needed.
- Monitor the dining room and notify appropriate team members when tables require attention.
- Assist Servers and other Food & Beverage team members during busy periods as needed.
- Respond to guest questions and concerns professionally and notify management when additional assistance is required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming dining environment.
- Follow all resort policies, procedures, and service standards.

Education/Experience/Skills:
- Previous host/hostess, restaurant, or customer service experience preferred, but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to remain calm, courteous, and professional during busy periods.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail.

- Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Ability to learn and effectively use restaurant reservation and/or POS systems.
