Food & Beverage Supervisor, Director of Food & Beverage Job Summary:
Are you someone who is looking for a little extra pocket cash? The Princess Royale Oceanfront Resort is seeking a part-time Server willing to work a variable, part-time schedule year-round. You will serve food and beverages in our Schooner's restaurant in a prompt and courteous manner, anticipating guest's needs and answering questions, completing all side work and working as a team with co-workers to keep all areas clean and safe. Your premium skills in hospitality management will enhance the overall guest experience, while your relevant skills in guest relations and familiarity with hospitality will help you excel in this role. Responsibilities:
  • Greet guests warmly and provide friendly, attentive, and professional service throughout their dining experience.
  • Present menus, explain daily specials, and answer questions regarding food and beverage selections.
  • Accurately take food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
  • Serve food and beverages promptly and according to established service standards.
  • Check on guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and respond promptly to requests.
  • Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, and available beverages.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen, bar, and other team members to ensure accurate and timely service.
  • Process guest checks and payments accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked tables, service areas, and dining spaces.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service guidelines.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting tables, restocking supplies, and cleaning assigned areas.
  • Address guest concerns professionally and notify a supervisor or manager when additional assistance is needed.
  • Work collaboratively with coworkers to provide a positive and welcoming environment for guests.
  • Follow all resort policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Education/Experience/Skills:
  • Previous serving or restaurant experience requierd
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Friendly, positive, and professional attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately handle guest orders and payments.
  • Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and safely carry food and beverage trays.
  • Must be dependable, punctual, and willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Knowledge of food safety and responsible alcohol service is preferred.
  • Must meet all applicable requirements for serving alcohol in the State of Maryland.
