Host Job Responsibilities / DutiesFollow all County Line policies and proceduresComplete all assigned opening, running, closing duties, and side workArrive on time and attend all shift meetingsFollow all health, safety, sanitation, and guest service standardsWarmly greet and welcome every guestManage reservations, waitlists, and guest seating according to restaurant proceduresCommunicate accurate wait times, seating options, and restaurant information to guestsUnderstand and clearly communicate that outside patio seating is first-come, first-served and cannot be guaranteed with a reservationConfirm guests' seating preferences and communicate patio availability with the Manager on DutyCoordinate with servers and managers to maintain a smooth and balanced table rotationAnswer the restaurant phone professionally and assist guests with reservations and general questionsAssist guests with questions about the restaurant, menu, specials, events, and seating optionsCommunicate guest requests, special occasions, and concerns to the appropriate team member or managerMonitor the entrance, dining room, rest rooms and host stand to maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environmentMaintain clean menus and an organized host standAssist with to-go orders, merchandise, and other guest needs as directed by managementWork closely with servers, managers, and other team members to provide excellent guest serviceAddress guest concerns professionally and involve management when neededHelp ensure every guest has a positive experience from arrival through departure
Requirements:
Previous restaurant or guest service experience preferredCurrent Texas Food Handler Certification is requiredStrong verbal and written communication skillsMaintain a positive and professional attitudeExcellent guest relations skillsGreat guest satisfaction expectations and focusAbility to remain calm, organized, and friendly in a fast-paced environmentAbility to communicate effectively with guests and restaurant staffMust have good transportation
