Employment Offer Letter Lead Host Modern Bar Modern Bar is looking to fill the position of Lead Host. In this role, you will support the Management Team while helping maintain the culture, operational excellence, and product consistency that define the Modern Bar guest experience.

The Lead Host at Modern Bar is a high-energy, public-facing professional responsible for maintaining a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere for guests and employees. This position is expected to be naturally extroverted and high-spirited to be the face of our guest experience. Your primary mission is to radiate positivity, capture attention, and ensure every visitor feels welcomed into our lively environment with an intentional focus on catering to VIP guests.

Key Responsibilities:

Atmosphere Management:

Actively contribute to and match the energetic, high-spirited environment of the property.

Guest Engagement:

Welcome guests with professionalism and enthusiasm, responding to inquiries with deep knowledge of company promotions.

Brand Representation:

Show off a vibrant personality that resonates with the public; may appear in company marketing and promotional materials.

Safety & Compliance:

Verify guest identification for age and authenticity before entry.

Conflict De-escalation:

Remain professional and confident in de-escalation situations, relaying any suspicious behavior to management.

Opentable Management:

Execution of all Opentable procedures including but not limited to Booking reservations, answering phones, coordinating large groups with the events manager, confirmation calls, VIP outreach, table plotting, and active service maintenance Brand Vision & CultureUphold Urbanspace Hospitality s core values and commitment to design-driven hospitalityFoster a collaborative partnership with the kitchen and broader management teamSupport initiatives that promote diversity, inclusion, and team developmentReinforce Modern Bar s identity as an elevated, neighborhood-focused establishment serving residents and guests alikeAny changes to the spirits program must be approved by upper management and the Director of HospitalityProfessional StandardsMaintain a high level of professionalism, accountability, and follow-throughAdhere to all policies outlined in the employee handbookMaintain consistent communication with management and the Urbanspace Hospitality leadership teamPosition FlexibilityAs Modern Bar evolves, the scope of this position may change during the pre-opening period and throughout ongoing operations. Compensation Compensation for this position is $18.00 per hour plus tips (excluding minor tip-out).
