The Front Desk Manager will oversee all front desk operations within the hotel while on shift and act as general rooms lead in the event of Rooms Division Manager's absence. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in high level guest service, front desk and office operations, inventory control and management and a basic understanding of rate and revenue management systems along with the ability to work a combination of desk shifts The right fit will require a team and positive culture awareness, the ability to anticipate the needs of our guests and the ability to make every guest interaction a positive one. A true passion for hospitality and guest service is required. This is an ideal position for an experienced hotel front desk employee, Front Office Manager in a smaller facility, experienced Assistant Front Office Manager or Front desk supervisor who is interested in taking the next step in advancing their career.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure all Marriott Standards are implemented and upheld by all front office associates Be able to prioritize projects & activities pertaining to the front desk Be able to resolve guest issues with a guest first mentality while maintaining hotel policies in a financially sound manner Work a combination of shifts - both AM and PM as dictated by occupancy and general needs of the operation and as advised by Rooms Division Manager. Ability to learn and process weekly and monthly administrative duties and discussed ahead of time and as assigned with rooms division manager once they're acclimated. Ability to critically think and engage in a large-scale planning and organization in room operations Room Blocking and organization Proficient in short term and long-term planning in regard to running rooms department. General scheduling and shift organization Ability to learn shift processes on first 2nd and 3rd shift. Shift flexibility and ability to cover call offs if needed
REQUIREMENTS
Prior Marriott experience preferred but must have hotel front desk experience Light speed or other reservation system experience a plus Must have open availability to work a mix of morning, evening, and weekend shifts Must participate in monthly MOD schedule Management of managers Cash bank.
