The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in a long-term nursing facility, with a proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively. As the Housekeeping Supervisor, you will ensure that all areas of the facility are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and hygiene, fostering a safe and welcoming environment for residents and staff alike. Duties Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping activities across all areas of the facility, including resident rooms, common areas, laundry, and administrative spaces. Lead, train, and motivate housekeeping staff to uphold cleanliness standards while adhering to safety regulations. Develop work schedules and assign tasks to ensure efficient coverage and timely completion of cleaning duties. Monitor compliance with health and safety protocols, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and industrial cleaning procedures. Conduct regular inspections to assess cleanliness levels, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed. Oversee laundry operations to ensure proper handling, sorting, and sanitation of linens and clothing. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and linens while managing procurement processes to optimize resources. Requirements Proven experience supervising custodial or housekeeping teams within long-term care facilities. Extensive knowledge of cleaning techniques, industrial cleaning methods, and janitorial best practices. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively while fostering professional development. Familiarity with safety regulations related to chemical handling, equipment operation, and infection control protocols. Experience managing laundry services in a healthcare or hospitality setting is highly desirable. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication skills to liaise with staff members, management, residents' families, and external vendors.
