Job Description

To inspect all guest rooms and provide clean rooms periodically throughout the day to the Front Desk in order for guests to check in. Training and reinforcing company standards to room attendants and house attendants. Must have scheduling flexibility to work both Day and Evening Shift.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Inspect all rooms assigned, inspect corridors, vending areas, guest laundry, service areas, storage rooms, elevators, stairways, room attendant carts, etc. Advise staff of deficiencies in their areas and follow up to ensure deficiencies are corrected. Assign rooms and give additional instructions to house attendants. May also be required to assist in working PM Supervisor shift once a week. Answer any guest or associate request within a fifteen (15) minute period. Follow through to ensure that all requests have been handled, especially if the guest request has been delegated to another team member. Call in all completed tasks dispatched by PBX, Front Desk or any other department. Answer green room program calls and distribute information accordingly. Assist the Executive and Assistant Executive Housekeeper in training all new associates. Fill in as acting Housekeeping Manager in their absence or during vacations. Assists in keeping management informed of any housekeeping team member violations of department/hotel policies. Check the status of due outs by noon and report status of these rooms to the front desk by 12:30 PM. Produce a maintenance work order for any deficiencies found in your area of responsibility. Help out where needed (example: laundry, room attendants, lobby, etc.)
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the Executive Housekeeper, Director of Rooms, and the General Manager based upon the particular requirements of the Hotel.
