Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitorial Worker to maintain cleanliness and sanitation across our facilities. In this vital role, you will ensure that all areas are kept pristine, safe, and welcoming for staff, visitors, and clients alike. Your proactive approach to cleaning, maintenance, and safety will contribute to a healthy environment that promotes productivity and well-being. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, common areas, and other designated spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers. Handle various chemical agents safely while performing sanitation tasks, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures. Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of cleaning supplies, furniture, and waste disposal materials following safe lifting practices. Maintain the cleanliness of floors through buffing, polishing, and proper floor care techniques to ensure a polished appearance. Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and cleaning materials to ensure continuous availability. Follow established safety protocols during all custodial activities to prevent accidents or injuries. Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks when needed, including minor repairs or reporting larger issues promptly. Requirements Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is preferred. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and the proper use of cleaning equipment including floor buffers and other custodial tools. Ability to handle chemical agents safely by following chemical handling safety procedures. Physical capability for manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
