Preschool Cleaner, Floater/Teachers Aide Full Time :

Monday - Friday, 8 hour shift, 8:45am to 5:45pm, plus or minus 15 minutes. Must be able to work these days/hours.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsible for keeping the school clean and organized (Primary responsibility) Responsible for daily, weekly and monthly cleaning duties for the center. Managing all food and meal preparation (snacks), including food inventory, serving sizes Assist with meal preparation or feeding. Assists the Teachers in maintaining a safe, clean and organized classroom. Assist with toilet training, diaper changing, and or bathroom time. Assists with covering teachers breaks and lunches, primarily in infant room. Treat children with dignity and respect. Attend staff training and development. Maintains appropriate communication with the Director as to parental, student or teacher concerns. Communicates to parents in a positive, empathetic manner concerning children or school issues. Maintains confidentiality in regards to staff, children and families.. Maintains a respectful relationship with children, parents and staff. Reports any maintenance or classroom issues to the Director and Lead Teacher immediately. Administers First Aid, if necessary. Dedication to continuing education and attending professional growth opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications :

Enjoys cleaning and organizing Reliable Flexible/Adaptable Able to multitask Enjoys children/caretaking Completed 6 units and enrolled in remaining 6 core Early Childhood Education units (preferred)

Skills and Character:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated experience working with children in some capacity. The ability to observe, see, hear and respond to children's needs, emergencies and conflicts that may occur. The ability to work with a diverse population. The ability to bend, stoop and lift children up to 50 lbs. This job involves working in a child care center environment. The employee must have the ability to work around children.

Other Requirements:

Current TB, MMR and Tdap and Health Screening Cleared LiveScan with Community Cares Licensing Department or ability to have it completed Current CPR / First Aid certification (Health and Safety) (or completed within 90 days of employment, a plus)
