Job Overview The Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the facility and surrounding grounds. This position requires the ability to perform general janitorial duties as well as outdoor grounds maintenance. The ideal candidate must be physically capable of lifting, carrying equipment, using ladders, and moving large trash containers. Duties Restock consumable supplies, including toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and other restroom essentials. Clean and sanitize restrooms, including using toilet bowl cleaner on toilets and fixtures. Empty trash receptacles and transport waste to designated disposal areas. Clean and maintain handwashing stations. Clean and maintain shoe scrubber stations. Wipe down and sanitize tables and high-touch surfaces in shared areas, including break rooms and the upstairs common area. Perform general sweeping, mopping, dusting, and cleaning throughout the facility. Maintain exterior grounds, including operating a backpack blower and removing debris. Safely use ladders to access and clean elevated areas as needed. Pull and maneuver large trash containers for waste disposal. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Qualifications Previous janitorial, custodial, or facilities maintenance experience preferred. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to follow cleaning procedures, safety guidelines, and work instructions. Ability to work overtime, weekends, and occasional schedule changes as needed to support operational requirements. Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds, operate cleaning and grounds maintenance equipment, and perform duties requiring standing, walking, bending, and climbing ladders.
