A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Hiring Range:
$41,466 - $49,759. Final compensation may exceed this range based on exceptional qualifications and experience.

Position Information:
Mayville State University is seeking a dedicated and motivated Custodial Supervisor to lead our custodial team in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming campus environment. This hands-on leadership role is perfect for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys mentoring others, and thrives in a collaborative setting.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Scheduling and overseeing custodial projects and daily operations Training staff in floor care (stripping, sealing, waxing), carpet cleaning, and sanitation techniques Maintaining and troubleshooting cleaning equipment Managing inventory of cleaning supplies Providing custodial support and event setup assistance as needed Hiring, training, and scheduling student workers for campus and athletic events
Key Competencies:
Excellent communication skills Effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and with students, faculty, staff, and community members with diverse backgrounds. Efficient use of Microsoft Office software Detail and customer service oriented
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma Previous supervisory experience
