Duties Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks across classrooms, hallways, restrooms, cafeterias, and common areas to uphold cleanliness standards. Operate various cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and scrubbers to maintain floors and surfaces. Handle chemical agents safely while performing sanitation procedures, following all safety protocols and handling safety procedures diligently. Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of furniture, supplies, and cleaning materials using safe lifting practices. Maintain custodial supplies inventory and ensure proper storage and disposal of cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines. Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks such as painting or repairs as needed to support the overall upkeep of the school environment. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to staff requests for cleaning or maintenance assistance. Requirements Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles within educational or commercial settings. Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation procedures, and custodial equipment operation. Ability to handle chemical agents safely following chemical handling safety procedures. Physical capability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Good communication skills with a friendly approach to interacting with staff and visitors. Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting is a plus.
