Responsibilities Assist in food preparation and cooking, including techniques such as poaching, braising, grilling, and meal assembly to meet quality standards. Operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring smooth kitchen operations during high-volume production periods. Follow food safety management protocols and sanitizing procedures rigorously to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment. Support menu planning efforts by preparing ingredients according to recipes and adhering to specified portion sizes. Handle food with care, ensuring proper food handling practices are followed at all times to prevent contamination. Contribute to food production for different service types including catering events, fine dining settings, and regular meal service. Maintain organization of kitchen stations, stock supplies, and assist with inventory management to ensure seamless workflow. Experience Previous experience in dietary aide roles or dietary department settings is highly desirable. Demonstrated food industry experience with a focus on food preparation, food safety sanitizing procedures, and operating kitchen equipment. Exposure to menu planning, recipe adherence, and culinary techniques such as braising, grilling, poaching, and knife skills. Experience working in restaurant or catering environments with high-volume production responsibilities. Knowledge of food safety management practices and compliance with health regulations is essential. Prior involvement in fine dining or high-end culinary settings is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued.
