In this pivotal role, you will oversee the setup, maintenance, and breakdown of banquet events, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional guest experiences. Your leadership will help coordinate the efforts of the service staff, manage logistics, and uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to memorable events in a vibrant resort environment while demonstrating your hospitality expertise and team leadership skills. Responsibilities Lead and supervise banquet setup crews to ensure timely and accurate arrangement of tables, linens, décor, and equipment according to event specifications. Coordinate with Banquet Director, kitchen staff, and service teams to facilitate smooth event flow from start to finish. Oversee manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of furniture, equipment, and supplies while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas before, during, and after events, including cleaning duties and waste disposal. Manage guest relations by addressing special requests or concerns promptly and professionally. Operate hospitality reservation systems and POS (Point of Sale) systems for billing or payment processing as needed. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations by conducting regular inspections, including first aid readiness and CPR certification upkeep. Qualifications Proven experience in food service or hospitality environments, particularly in banquet or event settings. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively during busy service periods. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable for effective communication with diverse guests. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with hospitality reservation systems. Knowledge of credit card payment processing, POS systems, and financial record maintenance. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual handling tasks efficiently. Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; ongoing training is encouraged. Previous hotel or resort experience will be considered an asset; familiarity with conflict management techniques is a plus. Join us in creating extraordinary experiences for our guests!
