These services consist of keeping a clean, healthy environment for the residents of the Manors of the Valley and assisting in securing safe surroundings.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Willingness to accept and learn from supervision.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including every other weekend and every other holiday.
• Must respect and show concern for all residents regardless of age, race, religion, gender, nationality or mental status.
• Must understand and respect the need for confidentiality in regard to the residents and their family.
• Must be able to frequently bend and lift 25-30 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
• Must be able to push/pull industrial carpet cleaner and cleaning cart and lift mop bucket.
• Must abide by Manors of the Valley's personnel policies.
• Must help maintain Cleanliness and a Sanitized enviornment

KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

• Ability to make observations of functions or problems related to the total service plan of the facility.
• Ability to accept and benefit from supervision.
• Knowledge of a cleaning routine.
• Working knowledge of standard materials, techniques, and equipment used in cleaning.
• Some knowledge of germicidal properties of cleaning materials and the reason for their use.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to deal courteously with residents and visitors.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees
