Three authentic Japanese food concepts inside Mitsuwa Marketplace in
Edgewater, New Jersey :
Tsujita Artisan Noodle, Sushi Tsujita, and Hannosuke Tempura . Our mission is to deliver an exceptional Japanese dining experience by combining authentic flavors, outstanding hospitality, and operational excellence. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a strong leader to oversee the daily operations of all three concepts within the Mitsuwa Marketplace food court. Position General Manager (Exempt, Full-Time)
Salary:
From $63,500 per year (based on experience) We are seeking an experienced and motivated General Manager to oversee the operations of our three restaurant concepts inside Mitsuwa Marketplace , as well as our Tsujita Edgewater location . This position requires a hands-on leader who can manage multiple teams across multiple locations, maintain high operational standards, and drive business performance while delivering exceptional guest experiences. This is a full-time exempt position requiring approximately 50-55 hours per week , including weekends and holidays as business needs require. This position is exempt and therefore is not eligible for overtime pay under applicable federal and state wage and hour laws. During the training period (typically 2-3 weeks depending on progress), compensation will be $25/hour as a non-exempt employee working approximately 40 hours per week.   • Ownership, initiative, and continuous improvement Key Responsibilities Oversee daily kitchen operations and food preparation.
Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation standards. Train, coach, and supervise kitchen staff. Manage scheduling, labor, and inventory. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Monitor food costs, minimize waste, and maintain profitability. Work closely with the General Manager to achieve operational goals. Qualifications 5+ years of kitchen management experience in a high-volume restaurant. Strong leadership and communication skills. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
