Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Kitchen Supervisor to lead and oversee daily culinary operations within a vibrant hospitality environment. This role is essential in maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and service excellence. As a Kitchen Supervisor, you will manage kitchen staff, coordinate food production, ensure compliance with food safety protocols, and support the delivery of exceptional dining experiences. Your leadership will inspire teamwork, uphold operational efficiency, and foster a positive atmosphere that delights our guests and elevates our culinary offerings. Duties Supervise daily kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure timely service and presentation standards are met. Lead and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and motivation to foster a cohesive team environment. Oversee inventory management, including stock control, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs. Ensure strict adherence to food safety sanitizing procedures and proper handling of all food items to maintain health standards. Coordinate with the culinary team on menu planning, catering events, and special dietary requirements to deliver diverse and high-quality options. Monitor kitchen operations during shifts, managing workflow, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining high levels of cleanliness and organization. Implement cost control measures while maintaining quality standards across all food production and service areas. Experience Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced kitchen or hospitality setting with a focus on food service management. Extensive banquet experience with the ability to oversee large-scale catering events efficiently. Strong background in food production, culinary techniques, and fine dining environments. Experience managing inventory control systems and implementing food safety sanitizing procedures. Demonstrated leadership skills in managing teams as a chef or kitchen supervisor within the food industry. Knowledge of dietary department operations and accommodating special dietary needs. Prior restaurant management or catering experience is highly desirable for success in this role.
Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 - 40.0 per week
