RN Supervisor (All shifts) Southport Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation Fairfield, CT Job Details Part-time | Full-time 2 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Paid time off Paid orientation Life insurance Paid sick time Qualifications Nursing home experience RN License Long-term care facility experience Full Job Description Southport Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking experienced RN's to join our team! We are currently hiring for full time positions: 40 hours 7a-3pm Candidates must have an up to date CT RN License as well as prior Nursing Home experience.
Job Duties include:
Direct day to day functions of nursing care in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility. Ensure that all nursing service personnel are following their respective job descriptions. Assist in the process of admitting, transferring, discharging residents as necessary. Greet and assess all new admissions. Monitor accident/incident reportable events for accuracy and completeness: submit to appropriate administrative staff as per facility policy. Provide leadership that includes administrative and supervisory principles. Assist with or conduct staff meetings and in-services as required. Review resident care plans to ensure appropriate care is being rendered. Review grievances made by residents and/or family members and make a written or oral report to the DNS or forward to the Social Service department, indicating what actions were taken to resolve the complaint or grievance. Review Nursing documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness in information and descriptions. Monitor documentation to include nursing care given and resident response to care. Monitor change of conditions are addressed in nurses notes. RCP, and 24 hours report sheets. Provide follow up with appropriate staff if documentation does not meet standards. Conduct rounds with physicians as necessary. Participate in survey (inspection) conducted by authorized government agencies. Provide written and/or oral reports or recommendations concerning the activities or your shift as required. Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, report, evaluations, studies, charting, administrator on call, facility's Quality Assurance program, etc. as necessary. Follows published guidance from the CDC and Department of Public Health regarding the current public health emergency
