SXS Mechanic & Off-Road Guide Hot Springs Off-Road Park
  • Hot Springs, Arkansas Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal, or Workamper | Hourly Join the Team Behind the Adventure Love working on off-road vehicles, solving mechanical problems, and spending time outdoors?
Hot Springs Off-Road Park is looking for an SXS Mechanic & Off-Road Guide to help maintain our rental fleet, recover vehicles, and lead guests on unforgettable off-road adventures. This isn't a typical mechanic job. One day you may be servicing a Kawasaki SXS in the shop, another day troubleshooting a problem on the trail, and another helping guide a family through their first off-road experience. What You'll Do:
Off-Road Guiding & Recovery Guide SXS tours (daily) and Off-Roading 101 experiences (weekly) Assist with trail-side vehicle recovery for guests and Park Staff Demonstrate safe off-road practices and equipment operation Help guests feel safe, confident, and ready for adventure SXS Maintenance & Repair Inspect, service, diagnose, and repair our SXS rental fleet Perform routine and preventative maintenance according to manufacturer guidelines Wash, refuel, and prepare vehicles for upcoming rentals Track maintenance and repairs using Maintenance Pro software Keep the operations team updated on which vehicles are ready for rental Help identify problems before they become major repairs Shop & Equipment Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop Help maintain Park equipment including tractors, trailers, mowers, chainsaws, and utility equipment Organize tools, parts, supplies, and SXS inventory areas Coordinate with Park Owners and outside vendors when additional parts or repairs are needed Team Support Work closely with SXS Guides, Park Store Staff, Grounds Maintenance, and Leadership Cross-train and assist in other Park operations during slower periods (ex: Campground Maintenance Team) Communicate maintenance, equipment, and safety concerns promptly Take care of Park tools, vehicles, and equipment as if they were your own What We Look For We're a values-driven team. Have strong mechanical ability and enjoy troubleshooting problems Take pride in quality workmanship Work well independently and as part of a team Communicate clearly and respectfully Stay organized and follow through Use good judgment and put safety first Don't mind getting dirty, muddy, greasy, or working outside Qualifications Hands-on mechanical experience with SXS/UTVs, automotive, small engines, diesel, agricultural, or similar equipment Familiarity with Kawasaki Side-by-Sides is a plus Off-road driving experience strongly preferred Valid Driver's License with a good driving record Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment Basic computer skills and willingness to learn Park software Weekend, holiday, and peak-season availability as scheduled Work Environment This is an active, hands-on position with both shop and outdoor work. You'll work around vehicles, heavy equipment, mud, dust, grease, noise, changing weather, and uneven off-road terrain. Physical Requirements Regularly lift and move 10-50+ pounds Stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work outdoors for extended periods Safely operate vehicles, tools, equipment, and machinery Navigate uneven, wooded, and steep terrain Why Hot Springs Off-Road Park?
