Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our growing team at ChikinJip. As a Server, you will play an essential role in creating outstanding dining experiences for our guests. Your responsibilities include taking orders, serving food and beverages, managing tables efficiently, and maintaining a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. You'll need to be quick on your feet, attentive, and always ready to provide warm and professional service. Responsibilities Arrive on time and well-groomed in a clean ChikinJip uniform for every shift Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times Greet guests warmly and assist them upon arrival Present menus, answer questions, and help customers select food and beverages Demonstrate knowledge of the ChikinJip menu and make helpful recommendations Take accurate orders and enter them into the POS system Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally Understand basic cash handling and provide correct change Serve alcohol responsibly in accordance with Alabama state requirements Manage takeout/delivery orders efficiently Collaborate smoothly with fellow servers, hosts, and kitchen staff Address customer concerns or complaints with a calm, positive attitude Issue bills and process payments correctly Perform additional tasks assigned by management Requirements Previous experience with cashier or POS systems preferred Strong attention to cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene Patient, customer-focused, and able to stay positive under pressure Excellent people skills with a naturally friendly attitude Responsible, honest, and dependable Strong communication, hospitality, interpersonal, and basic math skills Ability to read tables, anticipate guest needs, and respond proactively Team player who is always willing to help others and ask for help when needed Able to lift up to 35 pounds and perform continuous bending, reaching, and twisting Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Join us at ChikinJip and help create memorable dining experiences for our guests.
